Definition of "Mad"

First post. Five minutes passed since this blog has been created. Five minute ago, thinking about a title. Opened a book...Herman Hesse, Steppenwulf. First words "Only for mad people". Looking up in a dictionary for a definition of mad.
Outcome:
3. Temporarily or apparently deranged by violent sensations, emotions, or ideas.
Observation:
Being mad means being alive...
